Service · Backup as a service

Backup as a service in Mexico.

Managed backup with defined recovery times, retention for tax compliance, and a clear monthly fee in pesos.

Description

With backup as a service from HB Systems, your company does not purchase or manage backup equipment. We operate the platform, monitor every backup, and verify that the information can be recovered.

Recovery time in writing

Before we begin, we define, system by system, the maximum recovery time (RTO) and the maximum acceptable data loss (RPO) . These targets are documented and validated through restore tests. If you want to understand these concepts, see RTO and RPO explained for executives .

Retention for SAT compliance

The Federal Tax Code requires accounting records and their supporting documentation to be retained, as a general rule, for 5 years. We configure the retention period determined by your accounting or legal department, including policies of 7 years or more, with backups that cannot be deleted prematurely.

Reference pricing

The monthly fee is calculated using four factors: information volume (TB) , number of servers or devices , backup frequency and retention period . We provide a quote in Mexican pesos, with no hidden costs, following a free assessment.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions

What is backup as a service (BaaS)?

+

It is managed enterprise backup: HB Systems operates the platform, schedules backups, protects them in the cloud, and performs restore tests. Your company pays a monthly fee instead of purchasing and maintaining its own equipment.

How much does backup as a service cost?

+

Pricing is calculated primarily based on the volume of protected information (TB), the number of servers or devices, backup frequency, and retention period. We provide a monthly quote in Mexican pesos, with no fine print, following a free assessment.

How quickly can I recover my information?

+

The recovery time (RTO) and maximum acceptable data loss (RPO) are defined in writing for each system based on its criticality. Critical systems receive shorter targets, which are validated through periodic restore tests.

How long must backups be retained for SAT purposes?

+

The Federal Tax Code (Article 30) establishes, as a general rule, that accounting records and their supporting documentation must be retained for 5 years; some cases require longer periods. We configure retention according to your accounting or legal department’s instructions, including policies of 7 years or more.

Does backup as a service protect against ransomware?

+

Yes, as part of a layered strategy: we use immutable backups that are isolated from the main network and cannot be modified or deleted during their retention period, allowing clean information to be restored.

Which systems can be backed up?

+

Physical and virtual servers, databases, accounting systems and ERP systems (such as CONTPAQi), user devices, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace, among others.

How do I verify that the backup actually works?

+

We perform scheduled restore tests and provide reports with the results, so you have evidence that the information can be recovered.
